NTPC completes trial operation at Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project Unit 2

NTPC said that it has completed the trial operation of Unit 2 of the 1.98GW Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project in Aurangabad district, Bihar.

The Nabinagar Super power project, which is operated by NTPC’s fully-owned subsidiary Nabinagar Power Generating Co. Limited, will have three units, each of 660MW capacity.

NTPC has taken its total installed capacity to 65.1GW with the milestone achieved by the thermal power plant in Bihar.

Unit 1 of the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project was commissioned in September 2019.

Recently, NTPC announced that Unit 2 of the 1.6GW Gadarwara Super Thermal Power Station Stage 1 in Madhya Pradesh had begun commercial operations.
