Northern Endeavour FPSO contract : GR Engineering Services said that its fully-owned subsidiary Upstream Production Solutions (Upstream PS) has been given a contract by the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources (DISR) of the Australian government to provide operations and maintenance services to the Northern Endeavour floating production, storage and offtake facility Northern Endeavour FPSO.

Recently, DISR said that urgent steps were in progress to secure the continued safety and security of the Northern Endeavour FPSO following the liquidation of the Northern Oil and Gas Australia group of companies (NOGA). The department also announced the establishment of the Northern Endeavour Temporary Operations Program to give funding to support the operation and maintenance of the Northern Endeavour vessel.

As part of the program, DISR signed in Upstream Production Solutions to provide operations and maintenance services for reinstating minimum manning and for the restoration of safety-critical services to the Northern Endeavour FPSO.

Upstream Production Solutions has remobilized personnel to the FPSO and is moving ahead under an initial short term contract to deliver services to the department on commercial terms, in a non-production environment.

Upstream PS’ involvement in operating and maintaining the Northern Endeavour for over three and a half years and at all times prior to NOGA’s entry into liquidation has facilitated Upstream PS’ quick response and safe re-mobilisation to the Facility.”
