German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group has secured two orders for two wind farm projects in northern Poland, with a combined capacity of 70.9MW.
Nordex will be supplying 20 of its N117/3600 wind turbines as part of the contract.
Additionally, Nordex will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of the wind turbines for a 15-year period. There is an option of the contract being extended twice by five years.
The European turbine maker will supply and install 11 of the turbines for European Energy for its 38.5MW Liskowo wind farm.
According to Nordex, the Liskowo wind project is the sixth wind farm of the Danish project developer. Its N117/3600 turbines will be mounted on tubular steel towers with hub heights of 134 meters.
The German wind turbine manufacturer will deliver the other nine turbines for a 32.4MW wind farm of an undisclosed client.
All the 20 wind turbines are expected to be delivered and installed in mid-2022. The wind farms will be operational at the beginning of 2023.
