SweetPea, a newly launched a non-dairy, plant-based frozen dessert, has been made available at Lowes Foods and Vallarta Supermarkets across both coasts of the US.
Claimed to be a creamy ice cream, SweetPea, which was introduced online earlier this year, uses protein-packed chickpeas to deliver the same taste of traditional ice cream but with calories and fat reduced to half.
The un-dairy ice cream is now available at Lowes Foods locations across North Carolina and South Carolina, and also at Vallarta Supermarkets in Los Angeles and southern California.
Heather Romens – SweetPea co-founder said: “It’s an honor to have Lowes and Vallarta featuring SweetPea, as they’re both supermarket retailers we highly respect.
“And we’re so excited to have the opportunity to introduce SweetPea to ice cream lovers on the East and West Coasts.”
SweetPea is available in nine flavors, which include That’s a Mean Vanilla Bean, Peanut Butter Bomb, One ‘n Only Cookies ‘n Cream, Must Do Cold Brew, Mango Tango (feat. Peach), T.G.I.PieDay: Raspberry, Salted Caramel’s Sweet Talkin’ Pralines, 3 Parts Chocolate, and Hello, Cookie Dough!
SweetPea is expected to be rolled out in more stores across the US over the coming months.
