Noble Energy Partners acquires stakes in Bakken and Eagle Ford shale assets

Oil and gas industry news : Noble Energy Partners has acquired stakes and overriding royalty interests across 13 Bakken and two Eagle Ford Shale horizontal wells and associated pipeline infrastructure in the US for an undisclosed price.

Located in Mountrail County, North Dakota, the Bakken wells involved in the transaction are operated by EOG Resources.

According to Noble Energy Partners, the 13 wells, which are spread across 1280 acres, have a combined average production of 1,719 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 2,110 thousand cubic feet per day (MCFD) of gas, with an average depth of 20,000ft.

The two Eagle Ford wells in which Noble Energy Partners will be taking stakes are located in Gonzales County, Texas. The wells are operated by Lonestar Operating and have a combined average production of 678 BOPD of oil and 250 MCFD of gas with an average depth of 20,000ft.

Noble Energy Partners stated: “Noble Energy Partners believes that over the next decade the return on investment for U.S. oil and natural gas assets will continue to outperform traditional asset classes with additional in house investments made over the next several years.”
