Nefab acquires thermoformed cushioning provider Reflex Packaging
Nefab Group, a Swedish industrial packaging manufacturer, has acquired Reflex Packaging Group, a US-based packaging company engaged in sustainable thermoformed cushioning, for an undisclosed price.
According to Nefab Group, the acquisition will further consolidate its commitment of saving resources in supply chains.
Reflex Packaging will continue to be a separate entity under Nefab Group’s ownership.
The company is a manufacturer of high-performance thermoformed cushioning. It has operations in the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
Reflex Packaging is said to specialize in designing and manufacturing solutions that use recycled and ocean-bound plastic as the primary raw materials for its products.
Nefab Group said that the acquisition of Reflex Packaging along with that of the previously announced purchase of Szkaliczki last year in Europe will position it to become a leading provider of sustainable thermoformed cushioning.
The Swedish industrial packaging manufacturer stated that it will be better equipped now to meet the demands of its customers in fast-growing markets like electronics, telecom, datacom, as well as lithium batteries.

“Reflex Packaging’s state-of-the-art cushioning trays, made from 100% recycled and ocean bound plastic, combined with Nefab’s global presence, will make sustainable cushioning solutions available for the market worldwide.”
After the purchase of Reflex Packaging, the Nefab Group will now have more than 4,000 employees across 35 countries, with an annual turnover of around SEK 7 billion ($815 million).
