New Delhi Television (NDTV) Group has reported a profit of INR 12.03 crores for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2021-2022 (Q2 FY21-22), compared to a profit of INR 17.6 crores for the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The group’s English news channel — NDTV posted a profit of INR 10.18 crores, which is its best-ever quarter in its history. In the same quarter of FY20-21, NDTV had a profit of INR 5.3 crores.
NDTV Convergence, the digital company of the group, achieved an 11% revenue growth for the first half of this financial year. The digital company is also said to have reconfigured some major deals and operations, which led to a one-time expenses of INR 7.5 crores during this period.
The bank borrowings of NDTV Group have come down by INR 33.9 crores since the start of FY21-22. NDTV Group said that its profit for the first half of the current financial year is INR 28.02 crores.
