NDTV Group Q3 FY21-22 profit rises by 36% to Rs 27.6cr
New Delhi Television (NDTV) Group has reported a profit after tax of INR 27.6 crores for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2021-2022 (Q3 FY21-22), a 36% increase compared to a profit of INR 20.3 crores for the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
In the previous quarter, NDTV Group had a profit of INR 12.03 crores.
The group’s English news channel — NDTV posted a profit of INR 17.3 crores in the reported quarter ended 31 December 2021, an increase of 65% compared to INR 10.5 crores.
NDTV Convergence, the digital company of the group, reported a profit of INR 12.2 crores in Q2 FY21-22, compared to INR 9.8 crores in Q3 FY20-21.
The bank borrowings of NDTV Group have come down by INR 42.8 crores since the start of FY21-22.
NDTV stated: “These results have been achieved amid the many difficulties posed by the pandemic. NDTV’s reporters and production crews have performed outstandingly, often while being at some risk themselves, delivering the latest and most credible information from across the country on Covid developments; for this, the Company is deeply grateful, as also extremely proud.”
