NCC Limited secures four new orders in August totaling Rs 83,98cr

NCC Limited announced the acquisition of four new orders aggregating to Rs.8398 Crores (excluding GST) for its Electrical Division in August 2023. These milestone contracts promise to be pivotal in fortifying NCC’s market presence in the infrastructure development sector.

The first two significant orders, one valued at Rs.2822 Crores and the other at Rs.2933 Crores, are from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd. (MSEDCL). These orders pertain to the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project and are set to be executed on a Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate, Transfer (DBFOOT) basis under the RDSS Scheme. With a contract duration of 9 years and 3 months, including a 7-year Operation & Maintenance period, these projects will be executed through Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).

The third order, coming in at Rs.2324 Crores, has been received from North Bihar Power Distribution Co Ltd. Like the MSEDCL orders, this project is also for the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and is to be executed on a DBFOOT basis. This contract also has a timeline of nine years and three months and will be managed directly by NCC.

The fourth and final order is for Rs.319 Crores from Bangalore Electricity Supply Co Ltd. This contract is for upgrading the Distribution Automation System (DAS) and has an 18-month duration.

In summary, of the total Rs.8398 Crores, orders worth Rs.5755 Crores will be added to the order book of NCC’s Subsidiary Companies (SPVs), while the balance of Rs.2643 Crores will be in NCC’s standalone order book.

This series of acquisitions further establishes NCC Limited as a significant player in the electrical infrastructure development market. With its strong portfolio, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on upcoming opportunities in the sector.
