NBCC (India) bags five construction contracts worth Rs 321.5cr
NBCC (India) Limited (formerly National Buildings Construction Corporation), an Indian government-owned enterprise, said that it has bagged five orders with a combined worth of around INR 321.5 crores ($43 million).
The biggest of the orders is worth INR 189.53 crores from Varindera Constructions Limited. It involves the redevelopment of GPRA colony in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi.
The contract also includes the construction of Commercial- “C” (near metro station), which covers associated works on design, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis.
NBCC (India) won an INR 32.5 crores contract from DNC Infrastructure Private Limited for the construction of faculty apartment (S+10) (two blocks) near Vishwakarma Hostel at IIT BHU in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The contract is on design, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis.
The blue-chip Indian government enterprise bagged contracts in New Delhi worth INR 19.16 crores and INR 18.67 crores for the construction of a 300-bedded hostel at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range complex and a 300-bedded hostel at Indira Gandhi Stadium, respectively.
The contract related to the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range complex has been awarded by Shree Mahavir Constructions, while the Indira Gandhi Stadium contract is from Jai Jai Ram Singh Infrastructure Private Limited.
Another contract won by NBCC (India), which is worth INR 61.5 crores is from Chandralekha Constructions Pvt Ltd. The contract calls for the construction of Morvi Hostel-II (5+10) and Dining Block (2nd, 3rd, 4th floor) behind the existing Morvi Hostel at IIT BHU in Varanasi. The contract has been awarded on a design, engineering, procurement, and construction basis.
In May 2021, NBCC (India) had won an INR 596.75 crores contract related to the main campus of National Institute of Technology in Uttarakhand.
