Motorola, India’s leading 5G smartphone brand known for pioneering flip phones, has once again disrupted the market with its launch of the Razr40 Ultra and Razr40, the latest entrants to the flagship Razr smartphone series.
These innovative new models will be available from 15th July at leading retail stores, Amazon, Motorola India website, and Reliance Digital outlets.
The Razr40 Ultra and Razr40 represent a blend of cutting-edge technology and stylish self-expression, designed to redefine foldable smartphone norms. They cater to contemporary consumers seeking a modern take on the iconic flip phone. The Razr40 Ultra, the thinnest flip smartphone available when closed, boasts an efficient battery, the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform, and the largest external display of any flip phone.
This new line of smartphones features a 3.6” pOLED external display that supports multiple apps and functions even when closed. The 144Hz adaptive refresh rate ensures smooth app transitions and seamless website scrolling. Additionally, this external display has Corning® Gorilla Glass Victus Protection for durability.
Once opened, the Razr40 Ultra reveals an almost creaseless 6.9″ pOLED screen with a peak brightness of 1400nits and an industry-leading screen refresh rate of 165Hz. The Razr40 follows suit with a similar display configuration, peaking at a refresh rate of 144Hz.
In terms of design, both models bear a sleek, infinitely flexible design with a distinctive teardrop hinge, reducing visible crease when unfolded. The razr40 series phones’ iconic design and vegan leather options provide not just a touch of nostalgia but also a tasteful blend of modern aesthetics.
The Razr40 Ultra and Razr40 pack a punch with their camera capabilities. The Razr40 Ultra features a 12MP main camera sensor with Instant Dual Pixel PDAF, a 13MP ultrawide + macro vision lens, and a 32MP front camera for crisp selfies and video calls. The Razr40 isn’t far behind, sporting a 64MP main camera with OIS, a 13MP Ultrawide + Macro Vision lens, and a 32MP front camera.
Under the hood, these devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processors respectively. Both phones come with an ultra-fast 33W TurboPower charger, support wireless charging, and pack sizable batteries for long-lasting usage.
Motorola offers a bold range of color options for the new Razr40 series, including the exclusive Pantone® Color of the Year 2023, Viva Magenta, and Infinite Black. The devices run on Android 13 and come with three OS upgrades and four years of security patches.
