Moore, a marketing solutions provider, has acquired Worcester Envelope Company, which specializes in custom envelope manufacturing.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Moore said that the acquisition follows within a year of the $31 million investment it made in envelope manufacturing through the opening of Richmond Print Group in Virginia.
The marketing solutions provider said that Worcester Envelope will grow its envelope manufacturing in overall capacity, redundancy, and also location diversification.
Worcester Envelope, which is headquartered in Auburn, Massachusetts, manufactures high color direct mail envelopes to cater to the medium to large volume mail industry.
Gretchen Littlefield – CEO of Moore said: “Worcester Envelope Company is a 125-year-old company that has been a trusted and highly respected vendor of Moore for many years. We know the talented leadership and the superior quality of the work they produce for the industry.
“This acquisition was the right fit for us as we are committed to increasing our capacity and geographic footprint in the envelope manufacturing space. With this addition, we have over 347,000 square feet of envelope manufacturing in Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri and Virginia.”
The leadership team of Worcester Envelope will continue with Derek Waterhouse as president. Derek Waterhouse will report to Jeff Pelcher, who is the manufacturing chief operating officer of Moore.
