Hotel industry news : Midtown Athletic Clubs has announced the opening of a new 55-room boutique hotel in Chicago named as The Hotel at Midtown, marking its foray into the hospitality sector.
The new Chicago hotel is located between Bucktown, Lincoln Park and Logan Square neighborhoods, and is the final element of the $85 million renovation in Chicago by Midtown Athletic Club.
Guests can enjoy a high-quality resort experience and can enjoy the athletic club at The Hotel at Midtown, stated the tennis club on the new boutique hotel in Chicago.
The average price for a night stay at The Hotel at Midtown starts from around $250, as per a report in Chicago Tribune.
Some of the room amenities offered by The Hotel at Midtown include access to all the facilities of the athletic club, wi-fi, 55″ digital TVs with streaming capabilities, Lavazza Premium Roast Coffee, refrigerator, luxurious spa robes among others.
Commenting on The Hotel at Midtown opening, Steven Schwartz, the president and CEO of Midtown Athletic Clubs, said: “We began this project 5 years ago, with the goal of creating a health-and-fitness property unlike anything else.
“The Hotel at Midtown delivers luxury resort amenities coupled with unparalleled health-and-fitness offerings. We believe this pioneer project fills a niche within both the fitness and hospitality industries and it represents an entirely new opportunity for Midtown to serve and interact with guests and members not just in Chicago, but worldwide.”
The new boutique hotel in Chicago boasts of a luxury spa with guests having a customized menu of treatments and services they can choose from. There is also a full-service hair and nail salon at The Hotel at Midtown. A men’s barbershop named as Shave & Tonic, a couple of meeting rooms, a conference room and a range of event spaces are the other amenities on offer at this new Chicago boutique hotel.
As far as the food options are concerned, guests at The Hotel at Midtown can dine at the Chromium restaurant which is claimed to feature an innovative, seasonal menu and uses farm-to-table ingredients for its dishes. There is also the Chromium’s grab & go and smoothie bar to go along with the outdoor swimming pool food and drink service, and also a private dining room for special events.
The guests at The Hotel at Midtown will also get to experience the facilities and programs at Midtown Athletic Club. These would include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, whirlpools, tennis courts, a golf simulator, fitness classes, yoga, boxing, cycling studio, and others.
The Midtown Athletic Club in Chicago features 16 tennis indoor courts in its tennis lounge which has been designed by tennis legend Venus Williams.
