Confie, an American personal lines insurance distribution firm, has acquired Miami-based Estrella Insurance in a move to expand the footprint of Freeway Insurance, its non-standard national brand, in Florida.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Estrella Insurance runs over 190 locations in Florida, Arizona, California, Texas, and Colorado. Operating for more than four decades, Estrella Insurance has a portfolio of products that include commercial, home, auto life, business, and health.

The company will continue to run under its existing brand name and Confie will retain all its employees.

Cesar Soriano — Confie CEO said: “Estrella has built a strong franchising model well-known among Hispanic consumers, and business owners alike. We are excited to welcome them into our ever-growing family.

“Franchising allows us to broaden our customer reach, and accelerate our growth into new markets. Americans are entrepreneurial by nature and we proudly will offer them the choice between three trustworthy brands.”

Last year, Freeway Insurance opened up franchising opportunities for entrepreneurs.

With over 531 retail outlets across the US, business owners have access to Confie’s business model, a reputable brand, and a variety of regional and national insurance providers, and back-office support.

In December 2021, Confie acquired Velox Insurance, a franchise company that primarily serves entrepreneurs in Georgia.

Nick Estrella Jr. — Estrella CEO said: “Our franchise partners are family, and their success is our success.  It was important to find the right partner that would support both our brand, customers, and our growth plan.

“Confie is a highly respected organization with years of industry knowledge and forward momentum. It was a perfect fit for Estrella.”
