Metro Brands gets exclusive rights for footwear brand FitFlop in India

Metro Brands, an Indian footwear specialty retailer, has signed an exclusive strategic partnership with wellbeing footwear brand FitFlop for the sale and distribution of the latter in India.

Launched in 2007 by Canadian businessman Marcia Kilgore, FitFlop is presently being marketed and sold in more than 60 countries. Its footwear is claimed to be biomechanically engineered to complement the body structure, joint alignment, and natural movement.

Metro Brands, which has been selling FitFlop footwear in India for the past four years, has been now given the exclusive rights to sell the latter’s ergonomic sandals, shoes, and boots in Indian markets across formats including exclusive brand stores, multi brand stores, distribution, airport stores, webstore, and online marketplaces in India.

With locations across 136 cities and 30 states in India, Metro Brands intends to leverage its network and distribution and online capabilities to drive the FitFlop footwear business in India.
