Maruti Suzuki to open new Rs 11,000cr auto manufacturing plant in Haryana

Maruti Suzuki India has revealed plans to invest over INR 11,000 crores towards the first phase of a new automobile manufacturing plant in Haryana.

The Indian carmaker said that it is in talks with the Haryana government for a new manufacturing site for its planned capacity expansion.

Maruti Suzuki India stated: “The Company completed today, the process of allotment of an 800 acres site at IMT Kharkhoda in District Sonipat with HSIIDC (Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited).”

According to the Indian car manufacturer, the first plant will have a manufacturing capacity of 250,000 vehicles per year. It is targeted to be commissioned within the year 2025, subject to obtaining administrative approvals.

The site will be having space to accommodate capacity expansion to include more vehicle manufacturing plants in the future.
