Mangalam Drugs and Organics commissions intermediate manufacturing facility

Mangalam Drugs and Organics Limited, an Indian manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), has commissioned a new intermediate manufacturing facility in Vapi, Gujarat.

The API manufacturer said that the intermediate is an import substitute and a key raw material which it was importing from China.

Mangalam Drugs and Organics claimed that it is the first company in the organized sector to manufacture the intermediate in-house. The intermediate manufacturing facility in Vapi is expected to help the company cut down its dependence on Chinese imports for the product, while helping to sustain an uninterrupted supply chain to a significant extent.
