Man Industries (India) Limited expands with new ERW Mill in Gujarat

In a significant development for India’s steel industry, Man Industries (India) Limited (MIIL), a frontrunner in the provision of steel line pipes for the oil and gas as well as water distribution sectors, has proudly announced the commencement of operations at its Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) Mill under Man Stainless Steel Tubes Limited (MSSTL) located in Anjar, Gujarat. This expansion introduces an additional capacity of 50,000 metric tons per annum, marking a strategic advancement in MIIL’s production capabilities.

Nikhil Mansukhani, the Managing Director of MIIL, emphasized the alignment of the new capacity with the company’s medium- to long-term growth objectives and a positive market outlook. He highlighted the strategic nature of this expansion, including future capital expenditure (capex) projects, particularly noting the progress of the Stainless-Steel Seamless tube project. Mansukhani further detailed the financial benefits arising from the new facility, including eligibility for a concessional income tax rate of 15% in perpetuity, underscoring the fiscal prudence behind the expansion.

MIIL boasts a strong order book exceeding Rs 2,000 crores, encompassing both domestic and overseas projects. This robust pipeline is a testament to MIIL’s excellence and its strategic positioning in the global market. Furthermore, MIIL’s achievement in becoming an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliant company reiterates its commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility. The company’s creditworthiness is also affirmed by its A/Stable rating from CRISIL, reinforcing its financial stability and growth prospects.
