In a significant move towards sustainable logistics, Mahindra Logistics Limited has launched the ‘Emission Analytics Report’. This digital platform, unveiled to coincide with India’s 78th Independence Day celebrations, aims to offer customers real-time insights into their carbon emissions and assist in decarbonising their supply chains.

A New Era in Green Logistics

The ‘Emission Analytics Report’ is a key component of Mahindra Logistics’ green logistics ecosystem, spearheaded by Edel. Initially focused on last-mile cargo delivery, Edel has expanded into a full suite of sustainable logistics solutions. The new platform, accessible through a SaaS system, provides a detailed analysis of Scope 3 carbon emissions. Users can track emissions intensity, tonne-kilometres, emissions by mode of transport, fuel usage, and access emissions savings certificates through a monthly subscription model.

The platform integrates seamlessly with existing systems and is accredited by the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC) and ISO 14083. It is available on both web and mobile devices, making it a versatile tool for companies looking to enhance their sustainability practices.

Empowering Decarbonisation and Compliance

The report is designed to support companies in complying with BRSR and other environmental regulations, and aids those aiming to transition to green logistics. It quantifies shipment-level reporting of Scope 3 emissions across various industries, including automotive, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, FMCG, mobility, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, quick commerce, and freight forwarding.

Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Logistics Limited, highlighted the importance of the initiative: “Logistics today is about creating value for stakeholders, customers, communities, and the planet. To mark India’s 78th Independence Day, we are celebrating ‘Freedom from emissions’ by launching the ‘Emission Analytics Report’ as a part of Edel – our green logistics ecosystem. We are committed to contributing to India’s ambitious goal of becoming Net-Zero by 2070 and building a sustainable supply chain.”
