L&T, VMware to expedite adoption of digital infrastructure solutions
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its Smart World & Communication (SWC) business has entered into a partnership with VMware with an aim to expedite the adoption of digital infrastructure solutions across industries by incubating a VMware Centre of Excellence (COE).
According to Larsen & Toubro, the offering of the VMware Centre of Excellence will include an artificial intelligence (AI) and automation-led ‘Intelligent, secure SD-WAN on-demand’ solution. The Indian conglomerate said that the solution is expected to help clients boost the experience and efficiencies in their enterprise networks.
Pradeep Nair —VMware India VP, MD said: “We are delighted to partner with L&T SWC to help our customers innovate faster in a multi-cloud world. Through this CoE, we are bringing our formidable capabilities together in building joint solutions for digital workspace and edge, security, networking, and cloud infrastructure.”
Larsen & Toubro claimed that the partnership will be helping clients achieve digital versatility with the help of multi-cloud solutions by making use of VMware suite of products. It will concentrate on innovation in the areas of cloud engineering and disaster recovery to enhance the resilience of enterprises and businesses, said Larsen & Toubro.
The Smart World & Communication business of Larsen & Toubro will also tap VMware’s Telco Cloud products to build unique value propositions for clients by means of strong, secure Industry 4.0 solutions across verticals over 5G/Internet of Things (IOT)/Edge.
