L&T Technology Services reorganizes into three key segments to foster growth and innovation

L&T Technology Services (LTTS), a leading global digital engineering and R&D services provider listed on BSE and NSE, announced a significant restructuring of its business model. The company will streamline its operations from five distinct segments into three focused categories: Mobility, Sustainability, and Hi-Tech. This reorganization is part of LTTS’s ‘Go Deeper to Scale’ strategy, aimed at enhancing scalability, driving technology innovation, and meeting the rapidly evolving demands of its customers.

The new segmentation aligns with LTTS’s commitment to addressing the unique needs within its core sectors, thereby fostering specialized solutions and assets. The Mobility segment will now include the Automotive, Commercial Vehicles, and Aerospace verticals. Sustainability will focus on Industrial Machinery & Building Technology, Electric & Power, FMCG, and Oil & Gas industries. The Hi-Tech segment will cater to MedTech, Semiconductors, Consumer Electronics, Hyperscalers, and NexGen Comm verticals.

In addition to the segment realignment, LTTS will consolidate its engineering and technological expertise into three overarching horizontals: AI & Software Defined Everything (SDx), Embedded Systems, and Digital Manufacturing Solutions. This strategic pivot is designed to leverage the company’s extensive digital assets, labs, and industry expertise to deliver cutting-edge, multi-domain solutions to a global clientele, thereby improving its innovation quotient.

As part of the structural changes, LTTS is also integrating its sales and delivery operations into a single cohesive framework. This adjustment aims to enhance organizational agility, foster faster decision-making, and drive domain-specific synergies. The goal is to scale operations more effectively, enhance deal sizes, and deliver greater value to both customers and employees.

Amit Chadha, CEO & Managing Director of L&T Technology Services, shared his vision for the reorganization, stating, “Over the past decade, LTTS has established itself as the largest pure-play engineering services provider based in India. As technology cycles shorten and clients seek more specialized solutions and domain expertise, it is imperative for us to deepen our market penetration to scale. This consolidation into three unifying segments and three horizontals will not only enhance our ability to meet diverse industry needs but also position LTTS as a strategic partner throughout the customer’s lifecycle journey.”

This strategic realignment is expected to position LTTS for substantial growth, enabling the company to adapt more dynamically to global market changes and client requirements. By focusing on core areas and integrating related services, LTTS is setting a foundation for enhanced efficiency and continued leadership in technology services.
