L&T Technology Services (LTTS), a leading global engineering services company, has announced a strategic partnership with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited () to propel and facilitate private network deployments for global enterprises.

This partnership will co-innovate and jointly market private 5G connectivity solutions aimed at accelerating the digital transformation for enterprises.

BSNL stated: “This strategic partnership with LTTS will allow us to support global organizations in their digital transformation endeavors. 5G is the next Big Enabler which can positively benefit the lives of millions of end-users and we expect rapid adoption of private networks across multiple use cases and major industries.”

Under the framework of the agreement signed by the two companies, BSNL will supply the , using either Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) or isolated allotment. will meet the private network requirements by deploying equipment, applications, servers, technology, and software, as well as core for the integration of devices and sensors within the customer’s ecosystem.

This alliance signifies L&T Technology Services’ entrance into the private 5G network space. In this new role, L&T Technology Services will serve as a master system integrator for clients, offering a selection of technologies, equipment, and use case buildouts. BSNL will operate as the official network provider.

According to research firm IDC, the global private 5G market is projected to exceed $8 billion by 2026, boasting a compound annual growth rate of 35.7% from 2022 onwards. As the need for faster connection speeds and lower latency grows among Indian enterprises, there’s an increasing demand for the deployment of Non-Public Networks (NPN).

The shift towards Captive Non-Public Networks or CNPN is gaining momentum as enterprise needs focus more on network modernization for enhanced security.
