L&T Construction’s B&F business bags significant orders in India and Bangladesh

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that the buildings and factories (B&F) business arm of L&T Construction has secured substantial orders both domestically in India and internationally in Bangladesh.

Cricket Stadium Development in Uttar Pradesh:

Topping the list is the prestigious project from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. L&T Construction has been chosen to helm the “Construction of a Cricket Stadium at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh” on a Design & Build Turnkey Basis. The architectural marvel will boast a capacity to accommodate 30,000 spectators. Beyond the primary ground designed as per ICC standards, the proposed facility will feature an array of amenities including a Display Score Board, Flood Lights, luxurious VIP lounges, Office Areas, Broadcasting setups, and a Practice Ground, all sprawled across a generous 30.67-acre site. Comprehensive finishes, advanced MEP services, and extensive site development further enhance the project’s scope.

Expansion to Bangladesh with Hi-Tech IT Parks:

Extending its reach internationally, the company has also been trusted by the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority to construct state-of-the-art Hi-Tech IT Parks in four strategic locations across Bangladesh, backed by funding from EXIM Bank. This monumental undertaking involves the development of seven storied structural steel buildings at each of the eight locales, cumulatively spanning an impressive built-up area (BUA) of 1.2 million Sqft.

Aspiring to achieve the LEED Gold rating, the project will encompass a gamut of features including advanced HVAC systems, lifts, electrical systems, fire safety mechanisms, and a holistic building management system. Adding to the scope, integral components like road infrastructure, boundary walls, landscaping, and more will be developed in the districts of Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Cumilla, and Sylhet in Bangladesh.
