Larsen and Toubro’s (L&T) construction division has been awarded a significant contract, valued between INR 2,500 to 5,000 crores, for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh. Construction of Greenfield Bhogapuram International Airport by L&T
The Buildings & Factories and Transportation Infrastructure arms of L&T Construction have secured this prestigious contract from the GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited. The project’s scope entails the development of the greenfield Bhogapuram International Airport, which is set to manage an initial capacity of six million passengers per annum, with provisions for expansion up to 12 million.
Comprehensive Development Underway
The key components of the airport development include a range of intricate construction works. This encompasses terminal construction with advanced airport systems, an ATC tower, airfield development featuring a 3800m South Runway, and comprehensive landside facilities such as roads and landscaping. Utilities and other support facilities are also part of the contract, ensuring a fully integrated airport infrastructure.
