L&T Construction gains significant ground in UAE and Kuwait with new orders
Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leading multinational conglomerate in engineering, procurement, and construction, announced that its Power Transmission & Distribution business has secured significant orders in the Middle East. These orders have a combined value in the range of Rs 2,500 crores and Rs 5,000 crores, marking a major achievement for L&T Construction in the global market.
Breakdown of the New Contracts
The United Arab Emirates contract encompasses the engineering, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 400/132kV Substation. This extensive project includes the associated Transformer, Reactor, and Substation Control & Monitoring Systems (SCMS). This development is pivotal for the UAE’s power infrastructure, enhancing its capacity and reliability.
In Kuwait, L&T Construction has been entrusted with establishing 400kV Overhead Transmission Lines along with associated 400kV Underground Cable interconnections. Spanning a route length of over 100KM, this project is instrumental in evacuating and generating power efficiently in the region.
