L&T Construction bags contract from PHED Jodhpur

Larsen & Toubro Limited said that L&T Construction’s water and effluent treatment business has bagged a contract in the range of INR 1,000 to 2,500 crores from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Under the design and build order, L&T Construction will be responsible for executing a Parallel Carrier System to the Rajiv Gandhi Lined Canal (RGLC Phase III).

L&T Construction’s scope of work includes 213kms of raw water mild steel transmission mains and four pump houses along with related electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation works.

The project is designed to meet the water demands of the Jodhpur, Pali, and Barmer districts. It will also provide raw water to the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Ltd (RIICO) and Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
