Lockheed Martin to sell Distributed Energy Solutions to TRC

TRC, a global consulting, engineering, and construction management firm, has agreed to acquire Lockheed Martin Energy’s Distributed Energy Solutions group for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will strengthen TRC’s position in the Advanced Energy segment, and allow the company to provide tech-enabled solutions to a combined customer base.

Distributed Energy Solutions, a commercial business, offers distributed energy services to electric and gas utility customers.

In addition, Distributed Energy Solutions provides services for energy efficiency, demand response, beneficial electrification, distributed energy resource management, data analytics, IT/OT systems integration & operation, cyber security, cloud and web services.

The transaction is expected to enable Lockheed Martin Energy to focus on products and technology for the energy marketplace and the Department of Defense.
