Lightsource bp strikes deal with Kajoni Energie to strengthen Germany’s solar energy market

Lightsource bp is set to significantly enhance its footprint in Germany through a strategic development agreement with Kajoni Energie GmbH, a prominent German developer of renewable energy projects. This partnership will enable Lightsource bp to pursue a robust 500 megawatt-peak (MWp) pipeline of solar energy projects over the next two to three years. Each project will have a minimum capacity of 20 megawatts (MW), reflecting a significant commitment to advancing solar power in the region.

Kajoni Energie GmbH will play a crucial role in this initiative by identifying project sites of at least 20 hectares and securing the necessary rights to bring these sites to a ready-to-build status. Upon initiation of construction, the projects will be fully owned and managed by Lightsource bp, ensuring full control over the development and implementation phases.
