Leclerc Foods to open cookies and bars production facility in Brockville

Leclerc Foods, a Canada-based snack food manufacturer, said that it will set up a cookies and bars production facility in Brockville, Ontario for which it has acquired a 790,197 square-foot plant.

The company plans to begin production gradually from July 2022 with an aim to achieve 100% capacity in January 2023.

The snack production plant, which is located in the Brockville Industrial Park at California Avenue, will see an investment of over CAD100 million over five years.

It will open up more than 100 new jobs over a period of five years.

The new snack food plant will be the largest facility for Leclerc Foods. It will be used for promoting the development of new markets as well as the development of new products and categories.

Denis Leclerc — President of Leclerc Foods said: “Brockville offers a strategic location within North America, near US customs and our other Leclerc plants in Canada and the USA. This new facility will allow us to continue to grow our operations in full expansion.

Apart from Brockville, Leclerc Foods has four other snack food plants in Canada, which include two in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, and one each in Hawkesbury and Cornwall.
