Larsen & Toubro wins contract for Bandra Wastewater Treatment Facility

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that L&T Construction’s water and effluent treatment business has bagged a contract for the Bandra Wastewater Treatment Facility, worth in the range of INR 2,500 crores and INR 5,000 crores.

The contract was awarded by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) under the Mumbai Sewage Disposal Project – Stage II.

Larsen & Toubro will be responsible for the design, build, operation, and maintenance of the Bandra Wastewater Treatment Facility. The project features a 360 MLD sewage treatment plant with a provision to produce in-house power.

It will also have a panoramic viewing gallery, a library, and a knowledge centre.
