Larsen & Toubro (L&T), an Indian engineering conglomerate, said that its water and effluent treatment (WET) business of its construction division has bagged various contracts with a total value of INR 1,000-2,500 crores.

The company has won engineering, procurement, and construction orders from Water Infrastructure Limited (GWIL) for the design and construction of the Dhanki-Navda Bulk Pipeline project.

The is being taken up to boost water supply capacity to meet the future requirements of Amreli, , Junagadh, and Rajkot districts of Gujarat.

The scope of the contract includes design and construction of a 99km long bulk transmission MS pipeline, 10.5ML RCC raw water sump and pumphouse and related electro-mechanical and instrumentation works.

Larsen & Toubro sad that its water and effluent treatment business is also carrying out another bulk pipeline project for GWIL at the same location.

Additionally, the international arm of the business has won a project from an undisclosed client for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of water distribution network and large meter connections across Dubai.

The scope of the contract includes water distribution networks of 137km long GRE pipelines, micro tunnelling works, SCADA, and related civil, mechanical and electrical works.

Larsen & Toubro stated: “This project adds another customer to our clientele signifying the expansion of the WET business in the Middle East.”
