Larsen & Toubro secures major contract from ONGC for offshore development project
Larsen & Toubro’s Hydrocarbon vertical, L&T Energy, has been awarded a significant contract by the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) valued between INR 2,500 to 5,000 crores. This major project, known as the Daman Upside Development Project-Wellhead Platforms & Pipelines (DUDP-WP), is set to enhance oil and gas extraction capabilities off India‘s western coast.
Scope of the DUDP-WP Project
The contract encompasses the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of four new wellhead platforms, along with 140 kilometers of pipeline and associated topside modifications at the Tapti Daman block. This expansive project underscores L&T Energy’s pivotal role in supporting India’s energy infrastructure development.
