Larsen & Toubro bags two offshore orders in India for hydrocarbons unit
Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) said that its hydrocarbon business — L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH) has bagged a couple of offshore orders worth in the range of INR 1,000 to 2,500 crores.
L&T Energy Hydrocarbon has won a contract for decommissioning of offshore facilities in India from British Gas Exploration and Production India Limited (BGEPL), a part of Shell.
The scope of the contract includes engineering, preparation, removal, and transportation of five offshore wellhead platforms and related facilities at the Tapti field, offshore western India.
The Tapti field is being operated by a joint venture made up of BGEPL, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).
L&T Energy Hydrocarbon has also won an order from ONGC for balance works of pipeline replacement project-VI (PRP-VI). The contract scope involves the laying of nearly 42kms subsea pipelines and related subsea works at the west coast offshore fields of ONGC in India.
