Larsen & Toubro bags Rs 10-25bn worth contracts for hydrocarbon business
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its hydrocarbon business — L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH) has won two orders for its asset management and AdVENT business verticals, worth in the range of INR 1,000-2,500 crores.
According to the Indian conglomerate, its new business unit for operations and maintenance (O&M) and related services — Larsen & Toubro Energy Hydrocarbon – Asset Management (LTEH-AM) has bagged its first integrated O&M contract from Vedanta Limited, a division of Cairn Oil & Gas.
The five-year contract is for carrying out operations and maintenance of an upstream oil and gas processing facility at the Raageshwari Gas Terminal and associated and South Satellite Fields and Gas Well Pads, located in Rajasthan.
On the other hand, the Larsen & Toubro AdVENT business vertical has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a hydrogen generation unit (HGU) from Matheson Tri Gas, a subsidiary of Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation (NSHD).
On a “Build – Own – Operate (BOO)” basis, Matheson’s Global HYCO business group won the order for the hydrogen generation unit from Numaligarh refinery in Assam for 20 years. Topsoe, Denmark is the overall process licensor for the 95 KTPA hydrogen generation unit, which is said to be an integral part of the Numaligarh Refinery Expansion Project (NREP) for which the EPC work will be carried out by Larsen & Toubro under a timeline of 30 months.
