Larsen & Toubro bags offshore pipelines contract from ONGC

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its fully-owned subsidiary L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE) has bagged a contract from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the seventh development phase of the latter’s Pipeline Replacement Projects (PRP-VII).

The engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) contract is in the range of INR 2,500 to 5,000 crores.

Under the contract, L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering will be responsible for laying out 350kms long subsea pipelines and associated offshore works spread out across the offshore fields of ONGC located off the Indian west coast.

According to Larsen & Toubro, the contract was won through global competitive bidding and it reposes the confidence of ONGC in L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering’s capabilities and commitment to support the state-owned oil and gas firm and thereby contribute to the energy security of India.
