Larsen & Toubro bags EPC order from Odisha govt for Cuttack hospital

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its construction unit has bagged a contract in the range of INR 2,500-5,000 crores from the Odisha government to build clinical blocks and associated infrastructure for a hospital in Cuttack.

According to the Indian engineering conglomerate, the duration of the engineering, procurement, and construction project is 30 months.

Under the contract, Larsen & Toubro will be responsible for the construction of four clinical blocks with each having basement, ground floor and nine floors. The clinical blocks will be made up of composite structural systems and other ancillary buildings, and will have a total built up area of 3.4 Mn Sqft.

The new 2,058-bed hospital in Cuttack will have specialty departments like neurology, nephrology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, hematology, cardiology, casualty, trauma, surgical blocks, and general surgery.
