KPI Global Infrastructure increases capacity of Bharuch solar power plant

KPI Global Infrastructure said that it has commissioned a new capacity of 2.05MW at its existing solar power plant in Bharuch district in Gujarat.

The solar power project is located in the Sudi and Tancha villages in Ta-Amod.

According to KPI Global Infrastructure, the additional capacity was commissioned under the independent power producer (IPP) category for Ahmedabad-based Cadila Healthcare. The pharma company has a power purchase agreement (PPA) with KPI Global Infrastructure for a capacity of 1.7MW.

The total capacity of the solar power plant under the IPP category is now 59.03MW. This includes last month’s commissioning of a new capacity of 7.76MW, which is underpinned by PPAs signed with Rajputana Stainless, Vikram Nuvotech India (formerly Pioneer Syntex), Urvashi Pulp & Paper Mills, and Sachin Paper Mills.

Earlier this week, KPI Global Infrastructure said that a PPA signed for 1.2MW capacity with Ginni Filaments Limited, based in Ankleshwar, Gujarat was terminated by the latter.
