Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited said that it has completed the upgradation of the Mini Blast Furnace II (MBF-II) at its Koppal factory in Karnataka.
Subsequently, the Indian castings and pig iron manufacturer has resumed the operations of MBF-11 today.
Following the upgrade of MBF-11, the manufacturing capacity of pig iron with regard to the furnace has gone up from 1,80,000 metric tonnes per annum to 2,17,600 metric tonnes per annum.
The overall manufacturing capacity of pig iron of Kirloskar Ferrous Industries has gone up to 6,09,000 metric tonnes per annum.
