“Kill,” featuring Lakshya, Tanya Maniktala, and Raghav Juyal, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, has maintained its momentum at the box office, amassing an impressive Rs 6.78 crore in its second week. After a stellar opening week with Rs 11.1 crore, “Kill” entered its second weekend strong, adding Rs 3.75 crore. The film’s daily earnings remained consistent, showcasing its staying power amidst new releases.
The film began the week with Rs 70 lakh on Monday, followed by Rs 80 lakh on Tuesday, and peaked at Rs 90 lakh on Wednesday. Despite a slight drop to Rs 58 lakh on Thursday, early estimates by Sacnilk indicate a total collection of Rs 17.88 crore to date. “Kill” is poised to surpass the Rs 20 crore mark by the weekend’s close.
The upcoming weekend may present new challenges as “Bad Newz,” starring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimrii, and Ammy Virk, makes its debut. Interestingly, both films share a common thread—producer Karan Johar—marking a rare instance of two concurrently running films from the same producer.
“Kill” has caught the attention of Hollywood, with a remake in the works by Chad Stahelski’s company, known for directing “John Wick.” The film’s storyline revolves around NSG Captain Amrit Rathod’s heroic efforts during a night’s train journey, thwarting goons led by Raghav Juyal as they attempt to loot the passengers, including Amrit’s love interest Tullika, played by Tanya Maniktala.
The sustained interest in ‘Kill’ underscores the strong narrative and performances that resonate well with audiences, potentially setting the stage for a successful international adaptation.
