Karur Vysya Bank donates Rs 10 lakhs for Covid-19 vaccination drive

Karur Vysya Bank said that it has donated INR 10 lakhs to the District Collector, Karur, Tamil Nadu from its CSR funds for supporting the state government’s Covid-19 vaccination drive.

The Indian commercial banking company said that it had responded to a request from the Karur district authorities to implement the Tamil Nadu government’s initiative of facilitating free vaccination of eligible persons in private hospitals by tapping the CSR donations of corporates.

During the last financial year 2020-21, Karur Vysya Bank is said to have donated INR 3.12 crores for Covid-19 care. In the current financial year, the bank said that it has so far donated INR 3 crores towards corona relief.
