Kalpataru Power Transmission to win $431m contract for HVDC line

Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) is set to bag a contract worth INR 3,276 crores ($431 million) in the international market for an HVDC power transmission line.

The Indian EPC company said that it has received a letter of intent (LoI) for the 700km long power transmission and distribution project.

Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited will be responsible for the design, engineering, supply, and construction of the HVDC power transmission line.

The LoI is contingent on the meeting of certain conditions and the power transmission and distribution project will begin immediately with design and engineering activities in phase 1.
