JSW Energy subsidiary gets LOAs from SECI for 810MW blended wind capacity

JSW Future Energy (previously JSW Solar) has been issued letter of awards (LOAs) for 810MW of blended wind capacity from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI).

The awards pertain to the tariff based competitive bid which the SECI had invited for installing 2.5GW ISTS-connected blended wind power projects (Tranche – IX).

JSW Future Energy, which is a fully-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI for the contracted capacity of 540MW out of the 810MW of awarded capacity.

According to JSW Energy, it is the single largest PPA for wind/blended wind category in the sector, and marks the entry of the company into wind/blended wind power generation segment.
