ITI Limited secures NABL accreditation for EMC Lab in Bengaluru
ITI Limited said that its electromagnetic compatibility laboratory (EMC Lab) has recently secured accreditation from National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) in the field of electrical testing.
The Indian government-owned telecommunications equipment company had established electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing facilities at its ITI Bangalore plant.
According to the company, electromagnetic compatibility tests gauge the capability of equipment or systems to work properly without introducing electromagnetic disturbance to anything in that environment that can be intolerable.
ITI Limited said that the accreditation means that it can provide support to manufacturers and product designers in the commercial, industrial, and telecom sectors, as well as information technology, and medical sectors by identifying slight anomalies in the electrical and electromagnetic operations of their products.
Besides, the company can help them deal with issues of compliance and market access.
NABL accredited laboratories are said to use methods that are designed specifically to evaluate technical proficiency, which assures stakeholders that the test results that are provided by the lab are reliable as well as accurate.
Rakesh Mohan Agarwal — Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Limited said: “The accreditation of our EMC Lab will further strengthen customer confidence and satisfaction, and reinforce ITI Limited as a force to reckon with. This accreditation will increase the trust of our customers regarding reliable testing and accurate calibration.
“The NABL accreditation brings higher credibility to ITI Limited as the laboratory now meets both national and international standards.”
