Infosys said that it has forged a collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for developing quantum computing capabilities and use cases.
In this regard, the Indian IT company will use Amazon Braket, a fully managed quantum computing service. Using the Amazon service, Infosys will explore and create multiple use cases in quantum computing as part of the cloud offerings of Infosys Cobalt.
Scientists and developers use Amazon Braket to get started with the technology and expedite research and discovery.
Infosys will use the quantum computing service for developing, testing, and evaluating quantum applications on circuit simulators and quantum hardware technologies. The Indian IT giant said that this will help researchers and developers for experimenting and studying complex computational problems as quantum technologies continuously evolve.

At this stage, it’s important to be aware and evaluate the potential future impact of quantum computing. “We see this collaboration as an important step towards setting the right expectations when discussing business problems with customers where quantum computing could have a role.”
According to Infosys, enterprises will be able to access use cases for quicker experimentation, while exploring how quantum computing can possibly help them in the future in a range of areas, evaluate new ideas and plan adoption strategies for driving innovation.
Infosys’ use of Amazon Braket is aimed at helping businesses ready for a future where business will be impacted by quantum computers.

Earlier this week, Infosys had announced a collaboration with ServiceNow to offer enterprise-level service management for manufacturing customers.
