Infosys to acquire Denmark-based BASE life science in €110m deal

Infosys has signed a deal worth up to €110 million to acquire , a Denmark-based technology and consulting company in the life sciences industry in Europe.

The consideration of the acquisition to be carried out by Infosys’ fully-owned subsidiary , includes management incentives, bonuses, and retention.

Established in 2007, BASE life science has close to 200 life science domain experts. The Danish firm provides business consulting and to help global life sciences firms in realizing business value from cloud-first digital platforms and data, as well as to expedite and scale drug development.

BASE life science has its experts working across Denmark, the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and France. The company also has a nearshore technology hub in Spain.

BASE life science collaborates with software technology providers in the life sciences industry like Veeva, Salesforce, and IQVIA.

By joining Infosys, the Danish firm is expected to further grow its portfolio of expertise in consumer health, MedTech, animal health, and genomics segments.

For Infosys, the Danish firm adds domain experts having commercial, digital marketing, medical, regulatory, clinical, and quality expertise.

BASE life science is said to have a solid focus on data and artificial intelligence (AI), and the ability of bridging and integrating business logic and technology to drive insights for improved health outcomes.

Commenting on Infosys acquisition of BASE life science, Ravi Kumar S — Infosys President said: “This acquisition augments Infosys’ deep life sciences expertise, and expands our footprint further in the Nordics region and across Europe, and scales our digital transformation capabilities with cloud-based industry solutions. The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is likely to be wrapped up during Q2 of fiscal 2023.
