Infosys Q1 FY2022 results : Indian IT major reports Rs 51.9bn ($704m) net profit
Infosys Q1 FY2022 results : Indian IT giant Infosys has reported a net profit of $704 million (INR 5,195 crore) for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022 (Q1 FY2022) that ended 30 June 2021, compared to $564 million (INR 4,233 crore) reported in Q1 FY2021.
In the fourth quarter of FY2021, the company made $697 million in net profit.
The diluted earnings per share for Infosys in Q1 FY2022 moved up by 26.1% to $0.17 (INR 12.24) from $0.13 (INR 9.98) in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Infosys Q1 FY2022 revenues were $3.78 billion (INR 27,896 crore), an increase of 21.2% compared to $3.12 billion in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. Its revenues for Q4 FY2021 were $3.61 billion.
Commenting on Infosys Q1 FY2022 results, Salil Parekh – CEO and MD of Infosys, said: “Driven by the dedication of our employees and the trust of our clients, we grew at the fastest pace in Q1 in a decade, at 16.9% year-on-year and 4.8% quarter-on-quarter in constant currency.
“I am proud of our employees, who as ‘One Infosys’ demonstrate resilience and commitment in delivering for our clients. This gives us confidence to increase our revenue growth guidance to 14%-16%.
“As Infosys completes forty remarkable years, its continuing success and global impact are a testament to the vision of the founders and all the leaders who have shaped the company.”
