Infosys opens Melbourne Living Lab ecosystem for digital co-creation

Infosys said that it has opened its Melbourne Living Lab ecosystem with an aim to advance digital co-creation in Australia.

The Melbourne Living Lab is part of a network of more than 20 globally established labs by the Indian IT giant so far.

According to Infosys, the Melbourne Living Lab, which is supported by an ecosystem approach, will facilitate a meeting of digital technologies and human experience.

At the living lab in Melbourne, Infosys partners can make use of solution accelerators, frameworks, and digital experiences to ideate, prototype, as well as test innovations. It is said to offer more than 800 sqm of co-creation space aimed at advancing people and ESG-centric digital innovation.

The solution accelerators, which are led by its Centre for Emerging Technologies, will use digital technologies such as cloud, 5G, 3D, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), data and analytics, cyber security, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR).

Infosys said that the solution accelerators address industry use cases in financial services, retail, telcos, manufacturing, utilities, sports technology, educational technology, and others.

The Indian IT company added that after launching its Metaverse foundry, the Melbourne Living Lab will also help its partners to test and incubate extended reality experiences in a 360-degree digital-donut, virtual reality zones, and Infosys’ Virtual Living Lab.
