Infosys Finacle enables Union Bank of India to offer WhatsApp banking

Infosys said that Infosys Finacle has enabled to offer banking services to the public sector bank’s customers under the name Union Virtual Connect (UVConn).

Union Virtual Connect will provide its retail customers customized, daily banking services, at the time and place of their choices and initially in seven languages.

Customers of Union Bank of India can now securely connect with its official number through the end-to-end encrypted WhatsApp messaging interface from their registered mobile numbers with increased authentication levels.

To make the banking services available on WhatsApp, Infosys Finacle had helped the bank implement its Finacle Conversational Banking, Finacle Mobile Teller solutions, and Finacle Remote Banker solutions.

According to Infosys, the Finacle Conversational Banking and Remote Banker solutions help in facilitating an engaging conversational experience right through the digital journey of a customer. Both the solutions offer the flexibility of human assistance as needed.

The capabilities of Finacle Conversational Banking and Remote Banker are voice, text, or video messaging, along with sharing documents, images, and other content.

Infosys Finacle, which is part of Infosys’ fully-owned subsidiary , is also said to have helped Union Bank of India in transforming its branch banking experience. For this, Infosys Finacle had streamlined both branch and teller performance, minimized queues, enabled relationship manager mobility, and boosted efficiencies in operations.
