Indian jewellery retailer Kalyan Jewellers to open 14 new showrooms

Kalyan Jewellers will open 14 new showrooms on 24 April 2021 across seven states as part of its plans to boost its retail presence by 13% in the first quarter.

The Indian jewellery retailer said that it will look to scale up existing operations in the tier-1 cities apart from focusing on the tier-2 and tier-3 markets through mid-size showrooms.

In the tier-1 cities, Kalyan Jewellers will launch five new outlets, which would include a flagship jewellery showroom, which will come up at North Usman road in .

The Indian jewellery retailer will also be consolidating its footprint in , , and , by opening Kalyan Jewellers showrooms in Dwaraka in Delhi, Matunga, Lower Parel Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai and Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad.

Kalyan Jewellers will also open nine showrooms in key locations such as Noida, Nasik, Jamnagar, Pathanamthitta, Nagercoil, Madurai, Trichy, Khammam, and Karimnagar.

TS Kalyanaraman – Chairman and Managing Director of Kalyan Jewellers said: “During the first quarter we will be adding a total of 14 new outlets and expanding our retail presence by 13%, Kalyan Jewellers has a sizable presence across 21 states, and we are positive that we will be able to capitalise on the foundations that we have laid, and leverage our already established processes, purchase ecosystem system and market understanding to aid growth momentum.

“We have also put in place strict hygiene measures across all our showrooms, to ensure the safety of our customers.”

Presently, Kalyan Jewellers has 107 showrooms across India along with 30 jewellery showrooms in the Middle East. Recently, the Indian jewellery retailer raised INR11.75 billion ($160 million) via an IPO.
