Indian fashion store chain V-Mart Retail opens three new stores

V-Mart Retail Limited, an Indian clothing retailer, said that it has recently opened three new stores, of which two are in Jharkhand and the other is in Uttar Pradesh.

The family fashion store chain said that its store count in India has gone up to 282, as of 30 June 2021.

Incorporated in 2002 as Varin Commercials Private Limited, the clothing retailer opened its first store in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in 2003. In 2006, Varin Commercials was renamed to V-Mart Retail Limited.

The Indian clothing retailer, which was founded by retail entrepreneur Lalit Agarwal, reached the milestone of 100 stores in the year 2014.

Its stores offer fashion apparel, footwear, home furnishings, general merchandise, and kirana.

For Q4 FY21, V-Mart Retail Limited had reported a total income of INR 356 crore and for the fiscal year 2021 that ended 31 March was INR 1,097 crore.
